What a Term costs, and what it buys.
A Term is sixty or ninety days of structure. A House Officer who chases you, judges your work, corrects you and notices when something is missing. A document pack written around your week, your kitchen and your job. A record of every day of it, which is yours at the end.
Applying costs nothing. Nothing is charged until an application has been reviewed and accepted, and the confirmed amount is disclosed before you enter active service.
There are two routes, and they are not the same thing.
Self-governed Term
The full programme. Your House Officer, your documents, your obligations, your record. The Institute runs your Term. No Governor is assigned to your case.

Governor-assigned Term
Everything above, and a person. The Governor approves the standards you write, reviews your week, decides what moves and what does not, and holds your welfare and safety.
Ninety days — $500
- Your charter read and approved by hand before the Term begins
- Every week of your Term reviewed by the Governor, in writing
- Welfare and safety held by a person, every day of the Term
- What moves, and what does not, decided by a person rather than a rule
- A closing note the Governor may write to you at the end, and — if you have earned it — an invitation to return
Three Governor-assigned Terms run at a time. That is not a marketing device. It is the number of participants one Governor can hold properly, and when the three are full, the route is closed until one finishes.
Greywell is priced by the Term, not by the month, because a Term is a fixed thing with an end. Nothing renews, and nothing continues charging after your last day.
You can change your mind until the Term starts.
Your fee is fully refundable at any point before your Term commences — for any reason, without explanation, including simply deciding it is not for you. One line to support@greywellinstitute.com is enough. Refunds are actioned promptly and confirmed in writing.
Terms are non-refundable once begun. There are two exceptions. If Greywell stops working for 24 hours or more, you choose: the lost days added to your Term at no cost, or you end your Term and we refund the part you have not used. Stopped working means your House Officer does not answer and your directives do not arrive. And if you leave for your safety, your health, a death or your family, we refund the part you have not used.
Greywell's silence is Greywell's failure, and it is paid for. Full terms are in Terms of Service, section 12.
Additions.
A partner, if you nominate one and they consent. Partner access is never automatic: it requires your nomination, a role boundary you set, separate partner consent, Governor approval, and role-specific activation.

A Witness sees what is happening: your week, your dates, and whether the day was held. A Reporter sees all of that, and may report to your House Officer what it cannot see. A partner never sets an obligation, changes a standard or decides a consequence. They never see welfare or safety material, and they never receive your record. A partner informs; they do not decide. A partner needs no particular app — at consent, they choose how Greywell reaches them.
The most you could pay is a ninety-day Governor-assigned Term with the enhanced DNS profile and a Reporter partner: $608. Extensions, if you request any and they are approved, are charged on top. DNS fees depend on tier and Term length. Fees are not a promise of admission, of a review outcome, or of partner approval.
Fees are what you pay Greywell. Separately, a Term is run in your own premises using ordinary household and clothing stock, most of which applicants already own. Work out what that would cost you. Books are bought by you, not by Greywell. Your reading plan is built to the book budget you set when you apply; nothing is a valid budget, and free and library copies are accepted.
